Hello and welcome.

My name is Michelle Mildiner and in mid-May 2026 I will qualify as a Grief and Loss Counsellor. I trained at Bristol City College in general counselling and my grief & bereavement training is at the Institute of Counselling in Glasgow (university level 6).

We don’t like to think about death and dying, and yet it comes to us all. Losing a loved-one is one of the most heart-breaking, and at times unbearable things that can happen in a person’s life. Life will never be the same again, and yet we have to go on and somehow build a life without our loved-one. It seems like an impossible task, but it is possible to get through it and out the other side.

When we lose a loved-one, we need to talk about them and the life we had with them, we need to talk about what we’ve lost and how we can go on from here. We need someone who will accept us as we are. Someone who will really listen, understand, never judge us and always support us. I hope I can be that person for you.

My interest in Grief & Bereavement counselling has come from my own difficulties with losing loved ones, as well as working through the grief of being involuntarily childless.

So loss and grief can also encompass many things, including: the death of a loved one, being childless, relationship breakups, job loss, having to move to a new town or new country, life-changing injury, learning that you or a loved-one has a terminal illness, and many more life situations where we struggle to adapt to an unwanted new life.

You are most welcome to contact me if you have any questions or would like an initial no-fee chat.

All the best,

Michelle
